What are watts and mets on fitness equipment?

I have recently started working out at a gym. I used to be the brand of person who only worked out at home. I am foreign with the terms watts and mets...some of the cardio machines ask me to choose between those two things and next to put in a level. Hopefully someone can explain what these things are to me. Thanks!
Answers:
A watt is how much get-up-and-go or power you’re generating with respectively thrust that you make. And a met is actual the number of calories that you burn per kilogram of body weight while you’re asleep (essentially 70 calories per kilogram of body consignment, or a “K-CAL”) So, for instance, if the LCD readout says “7 mets” then that process you’re burning approximately 7 times the number of calories than you would when you’re completely at rest.
