What happen to adjectives equipment from demolished ships?

Hundreds of ships are scrapped (mostly in India) every year. What happen to all the equipment? There must be thousands of life jacket, other safety equipment, bed linen etc etc on the ship, and I'd like to know where it adjectives goes? Is it for sale somewhere?

It's adjectives sold, or scrapped and recycled. Iron is reused. Life jackets are any re-used or dismantled and sold for scrap. Bed linens are sold.

And so on and so forth.

NOTHING from an old ship, if it can be help, is simply thrown away.
Depends on who is doing the scrapping. Some of the material may budge to others ships that are owned by the the same people. "Contaminated" things may just end up getting tossed. Others parts may be auctioned bad or sold as a lot or as individuals items in as "as-is" state.
