Does Sprint Total Equipment Protection allow you to swap out for a different phone?
I have Sprint Insurance but was wondering if they will permit me swap out my phone for a similar phone (price range). How would I get them to do so?

I have sprint and hold the total equipment protection plan! I started my plan in Feb. of last year, bought a spanking new pink katana ll phone and about 5 months later I lost my phone. So I dance down to my local sprint store, told them I lost the phone and I needed a new one, they gave me a phone number to give the name and said they would MAIL me one in about 10 business days! What? I didn't want to keep on that long so I said how about I just buy a strange phone (I was into the new palm centro and considered necessary to upgrade) and they told me NO! I was not eligible for a upgrade! WTF! I want to spend over $300 for a new phone and you guys are relating me no!? So needless to say after nearly 2 hours later I finally walked out of the store beside my new phone! It was the biggest B.S. I enjoy ever heard! I will be so glad when my contract with sprint is up subsequent year! Source(s): sprint customer
they will only let you alteration your phone if you totally lose the phone or total damage. if so, they will only amend it to a new model if your lost/broken phone's model is not longer available. or some customers would go to some retail stores and trade the brand contemporary replacement to a new model Source(s): sprint indirect employee
