How is it that we can afford Billions to let go the bank, but can't afford equipment to protect our soldiers?
The Government is a joke, Gordon Brown sends people into trouble without adequate equipment, but will spend adjectives of our money when his job is on the line.
Answers:
I used to wonder why we could afford millions to go to period of war, some might say unnecessarily, when we can't afford to properly equip hospitals and have to ration drugs and when parents enjoy to fund raise to equip schools.
Because the money is borrowed from a bigger bank. The command doesn't actually have it. The parliament & the banks sleep together. Think about it. Most inhabitants are actually in debt for more than they own. The banks are like the seabeds. The money is the sea. Precipitation means we get for a moment bit of it but it always flows back out to ocean. The difference is because of interest we end up owing 'water' we don't have. Hence when money is needed for something such as upgraded military equipment the coffers are deserted. It may interest you to know that the US is bankrupt. When it gets to the point where on earth they don't have enough to save up the interest payments!......I don't even want to think about it. The solely people who will survive it are the banks. When I read out banks I mean the Federal Reserve & the Bank of England etc.
Well, contrary to your belief, we're spending 10 billion a month on the period of war. Also, if all of our banks closed down, our discount would hit rock bottom and we wouldn't be able to equip our soldiers either.
you know you're asking why the government aren't doing something that seems logical...
Since when do government do 'logical' things...
My solution to world wars is to not have armed forces, but to get new world laws that force leaders to conflict, NOT the people. Then let's see how eager they are to collide.
It's always easier to send someone else to do something you don't want to do.
we hold the same problem in Australia, Billions are positive banks, when for the last decade they enjoy been making RECORD profits. Do they not manage their money resembling they should? obviously not, and considering how much banks charge us to use their services, they SHOULD own billions up their sleeve for times like this. If not, where the hell is it going? no where on earth that its needed thats for sure.
the world is slowly going down the shitter.
my advice, wrap yourself in plastic and hold your breath and hope close to hell you end up in the the deep and not the sewer.
If UK bank went into liquidation it would cause economical disaster to the uk reduction, far worst than ever seen before. It would hold effects globaly due to bank to bank lend and the stock market.
Believe me when I say this, it would effect everyone.
For starters,
You wouldnt draw from paid by your employer unless its cash contained by hand,
You wouldnt be able to lolly cheques,
You would lose all savings/money,
It would effect the global flea market, and make the Pound worthless...
Thats just what would take place in day 1...
--------------------------------------…
Now if simply one bank went bust, it would own smaller consequences but it would still effect thousands/millions of people...
Thats why Northen Rock was nationalised, if you didnt know...
So losing a wall or the entire banking system is like syanara babe...
--------------------------------------…
Yes our soldiers are important, yes they need better equipment but not at the expence of anarchy.

We, and many other countries, come about an inch within financial meltdown, it really be that serious. I personally would rather see the complete system fall apart and be done with it, but most culture do not feel the same agency because they do not want their cosy lives to be destroyed and have to start literally surviving in a lawless world full of dangers. The world is full of sh** and is built on sh**, so let it hit the hanger-on is what I say. It would take decades to sort out though, various people would suffer and it would be survival of the fittest.
The simple answer is that money means more than culture. Our lives are built by money and destroyed by money. The only Gods that truly exist are the Gods of credit, mortgage and 'must have'.
because people are so sick of being surrounded by war..
Simply put, war don't give those vile self serving politicians cushy directorships when they leave political bureau. Even General Sir Mike Jackson has tagged onto the corporate advisory sector, probably earn more money for giving a days 'advice' then he ever did on the fields of combat.
As i type this, i'm watching Alistair Darling creep from breakfast show to breakfast show pontificating and patronising why its a honourable idea that WE have smaller amount money in our wage packets but the bank are the untouchable and defended 'safe as houses', even though it is THEIR recklessness that has get us all into this poo.
I find it nauseating; Banks have be ripping us off with impunity for donkeys years- lend unspeakable amounts to the feckless and then acting all Paris Hiltlton- stupid when these populace default.
I'm wise ample to know this 'crunch' is not the fault of Brown and Darling , but their actions surrounded by letting the banks ask for, and get, ludicrous amounts of money, whilst expecting us to be extremely 'Oh so grateful sir!' for a weak reduction of rip off VAT is the fastener in the coffin of 'Socialist New Labour' They are Tory with a Red rose, carrying a copy of 'Das Kapital' whilst wearing a stylised Che Guevara t-shirt. . zilch more.
Bravo! very well said, this government is f**king joke, grant all the members of parliament some arms and let them go and spar the f**king rag heads, they would fashion sure they had the correct equipment then, and as for spending our strong earned money to keep their job, That is what they have always done, no swing there!
Because adjectives that Gordon does is jet in to Afghanistan stroll around the desert surrounded by a suit and fly out again after what he perceives to be a morale-boosting visit (really?).
He and not one of the members of his Cabinet own any experience of military life (other than these superfluous trips) but this doesn't stop them 'volunteering' them for duties around the world.
They don't enjoy a lobbyists working for them, and the military members don't contribute enough to "Campaign Funds", or "bids for re-election".
Typically financing your forces base on loans isn't the best idea, but i see your point.
Money is indeed a problem when it comes to properly equipping soldiers to do their duty.
edit; on benefit; America has the same problem, yes.
Good question!
I hope you don't mind me answering this i'm American. And I tend to agree next to you those who do the business and protecting the crown should come first, to my understanding Prime Minister Brown is far less popular than Tony Blair.
It's obvious, the bank are of much higher concern to the Royals and Rich than canon fodder is to them.
Spending money on equipment to keep troops in safe hands puts the money in a manufacturers pocket and abiding the banks puts the money in the pockets of the Royals and the Rich.
As a event of fact UK & US soldiers are very economically equipped ,
But where they lack is the MORAL content ,
Waring short moral content is always disastrous.
You could ask the same question going on for a number of issues, not just military equipment. Why is this money never in that for things like:
*Health care, strength spending in the UK is a full percent, as a portion of the budget, behind the EU average, and 2.5% smaller number than France
*Education, I remember when they introduced the city academy scheme, part privatising state school, the phrase was something like "it's not a bottomless pot of money"
*Public services, nationalise the railways after the trains might run on time for once
*Policing
and so on
Even worse is Brown sending money to Gaza. That corrupt regime will divert the money to manufacturing more rockets,
Banks are essential for everyone everyday...especially when the the world has adopted a perverted sense of darwinism
Unfortunately squaddies are disposable especially when here seems to be an unlimited number of these psychos who wanna kill in need gettin busted for murder but go crying to their mommas when the they get shot put a bet on at !
Squaddies must know they work for lying murdering assholes so why is it such a surprise to them when their boss's let them down !
The rotten stinkers in the U.S. Congress are pointless headed would-be aristocrats. The place is packed next to the lame, halt and crazy.
People should realise that the Labour Party have never put a giant value on our servicemen/women despite all the weasel words of cretins close to Brown. Having said that the other political parties are little better.
Because we live in a socialist dump armed forces are never glorious on any socialist agenda
Soldiers are expendable, they can be replaced confidently. Very sad but true.
sure, how much would old-fashioned period of war shields cost?
exactly and who was in charge of the treasury when these bank were dolling out money left right & centre of attention, sour puss, yet for a war nobody needed except the bloody american president our boys suffer, id rather my taxes go to protecting them properly rather than some fat cats beside million pound pensions or golden hand shakes.
