When I be little, we had a playground made entirely of tires. From tiny spares to giant monster truck tires. It was great, it be such an adventure trying to climb the thing in need slipping through the cracks or burning your hands in the sun. Its be almost 20 years and they've torn that thing down cause kids in this day and age are so sensitive. They have to call the paramedics every time a kid get a scraped knee nowadays.
Yes a righteous old fashioned PARK back surrounded by the day was the best.
hell yeah! picking out the little pebbles from my knees and elbows, getting infections from thistles in my fingers and still climbing up rusty poles, was member of being a kid. now within my adulthood im VERY carefull when biking through red lights.............................
Yes it be more fun when it was more dangerous. And I don't ever remember anybody getting seriously hurt. Who care if you break your arm. It's not really a big deal. Nobody ever dies on playgrounds or becomes paralyzed.
It teach kids athletic ability, quick thinking, stability, agility, .....
Don't worry about my kids...they don't play on them they tramp along the tops of the roofs and rails. Way more dangerous than what we have to play with.

Heck Yeah. I was discussing this with a friend the other daylight. I am sad my kids won't ge to go to academy and play on the jungle gym, swing, teeter totter, or merry go round... All those sue happy parents. Darn litigious society.

yeah at my feeble school they have this stupid toy entry and kids are breaking their arms left and right. ugh
