We're talking freshwater. :)
Answers:
first, find a spot where a big bass lives.
every daytime for 20 days, catch 1 crawfish and 1 minnow, and bring it to the bass.
on the 21st day, bring simply the crawfish.
when the bass comes to inquire about his minnow, club him over the head near a big stick.
This is way too demonstrable, my friend.
All you need is a mate. You two make a relations and live off the surrounding environment. The family eventually increases to the size of a bustling rural community. As you and your kinsmen begin to develop the art of agriculture, you will find yourselves settling down and having a food surplus, probably primary to a population boom. You will have specialized roles for different people, and everything keep going on. Your little civilization progresses until it eventually develops the technology needed in order to acquire the fish you wish.
EDIT: I'm sorry. I did not mean to insult :(
Some people savour noodling as an alternative to traditional rod and reel fishing. Noodlers wade around muddy water contained by search of a catfish's hideout. When they come across one, it's not a worm they use as bait but their own hand. When the catfish clamps on, the noodler haul it to the surface. Not for the faint of heart, noodling can be exhilarating and painful, and also fairly dangerous. Source(s): Age of Empires.

When I think backbone on my childhood I use to go to the lake contained by back of my school after class and stroll around the shore looking for smudge from someones backlash and can almost guarantee a hook someone left behind or stuck on a tree branch that wasn't worth climbing to obtain.
Worms were dug up from the grass close to the water, soda can as my walk unsteadily (unfortunately alot laying around), and a dead piece of wood as a float. I've with the sole purpose caught panfish this way...but i caught alot of them.
Find you a good, stout stick or rattan pole, find some old line or string lying around, and somehow widdle down a hook out of a piece of wood and stone. As for bait, capture earthworms or crickets, pretty much any kind of critter you can find that fish will like. Hold a bunch of strip in one hand, and next to a swinging motion, cast the line into the marine and wait for the bite.
i've used the spear method. the biggest thing you want to remember is that for every foot of depth of water, you call for to compensate by aiming a foot closer to you. the refraction makes the fish appear further away than it really is.
grab a firm stick and a sharp stone... if in that is dry grass around you use it to tie the stone onto the stick... Source(s): me
you could try noodling.
So basiclly you get in the wet, go to a likly catfish home, and wiggle your fingers so they deduce it's worms and latch on.
Good Luck with your survial skills.
If you own a shirt on you can just sit in the water> stretch the shirt out contained by front of you>put some bait out there in the shirt area>soon a fish will swim to the bait> afterwards you pull up on your shirt and you will have trapped a fish within your "shirt net". Source(s): used to do this all the time
get some string off your socks or something and use the top of a coke can to bend into a hook, verbs up some worms. wierd question...
