Just get a windsurf board and equipment. I enjoy a VW bug. How do i transport this entry?
Answers:
strap in on the top very very well! (and tight)
Carry the fin and accessories inside the car. Use a purse to enclose your board. You don't need the pod but it will make transport easier and safer. Tie the bow and stern of the case or board to the car bumpers. Secure the mast alongside the board. Do not use rubber bungees. They can stretch as you drive and you may lose the nouns. Put a strap or rope over the load and secure it to your rack. No rack? Cut a piece of mature or discarded carpet to fit under the board. Run the nouns strap through the car windows and safe and sound. Check the load for security after a mile or so. At the sand check how others are moving their boards. Source(s): Surfer
you're going to need to buy hard racks and stack them on top, you might own issues if your sails and boom don't fit in your motor... I have a Civic and usually put two sails contained by my car along with the boom and everything else, my flagstaff that separates I put in my car, and my board and other flagstaff go on top... the hard racks are moderately expensive but well worth it
ignore guy above, using a rucksack for transportation will make it louder and more annoying with the backpack flying everywhere, and there's no reason to tie the front and back of the board down... I usually run the front rope through the footstraps and newly put as much tension on the rope that I can and then lash the flagstaff to the racks with a square lashing (VERY secure), I've gone 75 mph on the freeway like this and not hold it move at all.
Come to think of it, you're probably going to have need of to get hard racks, tie the boom on the bottom of the racks first, next tie on the board and mast on top, then you're probably going to enjoy to tie the sail to the board (fin removed)... The mast substructure, mast extension, and harness should all fit within the car. You may want to remove the harness lines for transportation if you have a long or hasty drive as they'll bounce off the top of your car and bring back really annoying.
