How do I report a ucc-1 for equipment I deliver from the US to Canada? Is at hand another process to out of harm`s way assets?

I have a large receivable beside a US Company that we shipped equipment to their Canadian office/location. How do I secure these assets? Can a UCC-1 be filed since the company is a US Company?
