I enjoy one of those and I love it. But those red things will cut up your hand so I would advise taking those out. Also some 16 ounce gloves.
If you want to swot to box or something you could go to http://www.fight-site.com
Don't do it. Start out by going to a military arts or boxing gym. Find one that will let you sign up for three to six months. Learn how to punch and jab properly first up to that time you start doing it on your own. If you are self taught you will pick up habits that become markedly difficult to break, especially if you want to compete later on. Trust the professionals! Equipment needed for begining..

1. Heavy Bag (if u want, but mainly is a must)
2. Hand wraps
3. Boxing gloves
4. Mouth piece (so u can achieve use to useing one if u do decided to get surrounded by to the sport)
5. Jump rope

Also before you get started contained by learning defense.. u must know how to properly stand, move, & ur slips, pivots, & protects. So i suggest u do what alot of boxers do... shadow box. u can do it outside or in ur room. Just stand contained by place and throw ur jab, jab&right, jab-right-hook, do combinations.
Then to do some self training, have a clock or timer & conduct yourself like ur sparring/fighting someone. Move around, throw ur jab.. stick & move, slip punches.. close to ur in a actual fight contained by rounds. do three 3minutes rounds or more. This is what i do cause i dont have a case to practice with.
But you can also do this with a beefy bag, work on it, and as the bag is swinging, move around it.. throw punches, dont stop it swinging, basically move around it like its an opponent.

Another mode to train is set a timer for about 30-45seconds (to start off) and throw ur jab & right mitt non-stop or uppercuts.

Other things to do to get in shape is, unsurprisingly is push ups & crunches. Gotta have that ab's of steel.

and finally, jump rope & jog. really helps stamina.

Oh and remember, dont try and do to much at one time, develop urself over time & training. But also push urself. (example, if u know u can do 20 push-ups straight when u begin.. try and push urself to 25. wether u stop at 22 or 24.)
And dont forget, never drop ur hand, always keep ur gloves up protecting ur obverse... and when shadow boxing, or working the bag. Dont just constantly stand and do this... bob ur team leader around.. move it.. keep ur head a moving target.

hope this compassionate of helps... its what i do on a daily basis among other things.
You need
1.Heavy pod

Training? No babe, need a trainer for that, for ANY warring arts for that matter. Can u start getting in the TYPE of shape you will be getting contained by? Of course, all you need is a step rope babe! hahaha I know it sounds funny but it's the truth. If you want to learn to box(or any other martial art) you call for to see a trainer, mainly because it's ALL about technique and you could train for days straight but if you're doing it wrong you're waisting you time and may possibly hurt yourself. You shift to a trainer to get the feel and you could verbs training(and get extra rounds in) at home. Source(s): Just another boxer trying to help
