What type of equipment do I want for the p90x workout?
I am interested in buying the P90x workout system but Its not clear if I would need extramural equipment.
I've seen pull up bar, bands, free weights and mini home gyms in some youtube video and I don't have those things.
Will I need them?
Thanks In Advance.

The equipment that you should have are:
- a chin-up banister (it involves a lot pull-ups and chin-ups)
I orginally used an exposed I-beam in the crypt, later I made a chin-up bar and hung it from the crypt ceiling with some wood and a bar. You can also buy the big-hearted you hook on the door ways. You can buy a fancy chin-up bar but on the p90x video it looks like they are adjectives hanging off a black pipe.
- you want either dumbbells or resistance bands. I prefer dumbbells but you want a range of them or ones that you can change the mass on as you use them in various exercises.
( I own dumbbells and a couple of different plates)
- proper shoes
(i've seen it listed that you stipulation a yoga matt and yoga blocks, I do fine without them.)
Hope that helps.
I'm more or less half done the program.
You can use resistance bands for almost everything they use weights for - but I approaching the feel of the weights myself.
What I have for weights will be better than yours (since I'm a guy). But for you I would get weights from 5-20 lbs. in 2-3 lb increments. I also bought a couple of weight lifting gloves, and I wear them for each resistance training daytime (3 times a week).
Push up bars are good because they are wrist saver and also let you go deeper.
You requirement a pull up bar. This is a tough one for plentiful people but trust me - you need it to really return with the results in your shoulders and back. If you jump with resistance bands if you hold something you can wrap them around (that is very solid) you can use that too. I used a stud finder and mounted my clips near the top of the wall (as I am tall). I put the pole itself away when not in use. It works fine for me this way.
You inevitability a yoga mat. You can also get yoga blocks but I use my push up bars for them and it works fine.
Get some comfortable and flexible work out clothes. At most minuscule 2 sets so you can keep them clean and still enjoy a pair available.
Get a towel and a water bottle.
Your diet is switch here - so for your snacks I got Kashi bars, Sun-ripe fruit bar (100% no other garbage in them) and the P90X protein bar. Trust me you NEED to feed your body properly here. Eat as much from Tier 1 & 2 from Michi's ladder as you can. I didn't at first and it be a big mistake I made.

I use the recovery drink from a local health store and surrounded by the mornings I make a smoothie with fresh fruit, large free yogurt and 2 scoops of whey powder for extra protien. I'm interested in muscle gain so you may not inevitability as much protein as I am taking.
I recommend starting day "zero" with the x-stretch. I would hold knowing what I know now, I'm not sure why they don't do that.
I have to give an account you, I love this program now and look forward to even the hardest workouts every night. I consistency great and my body is already looking and feeling a lot better and I enjoy a lot more energy.
If you own any questions just E-mail me. I'd be cheerful to share what I know about the program. I'm not perfect by any process - but this program is designed for people who don't have a coast body and want one.
This program requires REAL comittment. You have to make the diet and routine fragment of your schedule EVERY day. The X stands for extreme, and you own to really do your best at it for 90 days every day.
