I was a heavy equipment worker for a couple years, pay was great, work be plentiful, but that's here where I live. Some states its very seasonal so they certainly make more money than I did, but are out of work more often due to weather. I enjoy the job very much but found a better profession field but wouldn't hesitate to step back to it. Operated Backhoes, road graders, D-5 & 7 dozers, Michigan loaders and a host of other equpment, my favorite was road graders, have to pay alot of attention but enjoyed it and be fairly handy with one.

And I started at 17.32 an hour and finished almost two years next at 18.75 that was 2003 to end of 2004.
When I did it I made $16.50 an hour...that be 10 years ago
