Will i be denied from beefy equipment training for a history of mental complaint?
Have a history of MILD depression and ADHD. Currently on medication for both. I'm all good very soon. Just wondering if I should lie on application, or will they blood test me. Also how will that work next to employment, should I like to them as well or will they find out once I gain blood tested or purchase prescriptions with their health insurance? If I will be disqualified, do you know of any similar craft options for me? Thanks so much!
I think it would illegal to fire you or not hire base upon your medical condition. As long as the meds do not interfere with operating heavy machinery, nearby should not be any problem.
i'm not sure what you're taking...but that does NOT need to be disclosed with an application. they typically don't interview for prescription medication and it is absolutely none of their business what you purchase with insurance they provide. i'd save it to myself.

You can't take meds and operate machinery. ADHD is probably not a big traffic, and mood stabilizers might not be either. Talk to your doctor and see what he says. Maybe if you gain a good job, you won't be as depressed?

No, as long as you haven't be involuntarily committed to a psychiatric facility then there isn't any diary of your illness in your situation checks. I'm bipolar and have worked for a credit card bank contained by fraud prevention for years. That means I have access to much more information something like customers than the average customer service rep does. The department heads know about my ailment simply because I told them and they have no issue with it. Because mental bad health is considered a disability an employer cannot deny you employment for that reason only.
