Heavy Ebayers-Is it out of danger to buy fitness equipment from ebay?

I am looking to buy a leg magic system. I'm a broke college student so I have to scrutinize my money. They are typically $130 plus tax and shipping, unless I bought one locally. On ebay, I have found them for $10 plus $50 shipping and handling which is for a time less than half the price. The seller have high positive feedback are stating that you can buy insurance, but if anything breaks during shipping, they are not responsible. I'd to some extent not pay $50 for something that may end up broken, even by coincidence. I'd rather pay the $130 and be assured that the company will treaty with problems if there are any but that would be a huge price for what I form. What would you reccomend?

When buying on eBay:
* make sure the seller have a very good rating (99% or more). Reliable seller will stand behind what they sell (defects within the product, not breakage during shipping)
* if it is something that can break during shipping, pay for the insurance. It's a few dollars, and the insurance will reimburse you if the item breaks
* if you are really worried about breakage, later find one within driving distance and pick it up.
