How does one become a brawny equipment worker within...?

..Ontario Canada?
I am wondering if there are courses,college,on the job training etc..What exactly does one requirement to do to get into this field?What should i study up on/or what courses should i give somebody a lift etc?
Any one out here with any advice,tips etc etc?

Want to revise to use heavy equipment? Join the military. They will even pay you to cram and give you real world experience. I don't know what branch surrounded by Canada would be best, but in the US it would be the Navy SeaBees.
