Is at hand a a mode to lower the speed on a Brother DB2-B735-3 industrial sewing domestic device?

I'm finding the speed of this machine far to high for me. It didn't come next to an instruction booklet as it was bought second hand.It doesn't hold any speed settings but wonder if there's a way to slow it slightly. Thanks in mortgage for any answers :-)
Answers:
It should enjoy a knee control that might give you as a learner more control to start at a slower speed. If not...you just need to practise smaller number pressure for a slower start. Grab some scrap material and play around next to the machine. If this machine does not step slow at all, then you will requirement a professional to check it out and correct the problem.
Can you get hold of any change of speed from the pedal? Or is it only on/off?
You may hold a defective speed controller, or you may want to have a different pulley put on the motor unit, or you might want to swap out the current motor for a servo motor.

Talk to Brother or to a local industrial repair shop.

Boy Howdy, I read the other answers and there sure is a lot of misinformation to be have out there. So, here's the straight skinny: In the absence of an electronic speed regulator on the motor itself, the merely way to lessen the speed is to change the pulley on the motor. The underlying rule of thumb is the smaller the motor pulley, the less the speed of the machine. Take sour the belt guard on the motor and you will see the pulley. Remove the belt by raising the motor and loosen the allen screw holding the pulley on the end of the shaft. There is also a woodruff push button which fits into a slot on the shaft and the pulley and keeps them from slipping against each other. Just be sure to put it rear legs when you change the pulley,,,it's easy. You will be capable of find the pulley at a good hardware store. You will also need to retighten the belt again by loosening the bottom nut on the long bolt which supports the motor and screw down the upper nut until the belt is as tight as you want lacking binding the machine/motor. DO NOT forget to replace the belt guard. Source(s): 35+ years as a sewing machine technician and hundreds of pulley changes.
there should be a foot pedal which controls the speed.
