When I press the pedal for an industrial sewing device it starts briefly next stops as though is it locking?
or a brake is on ,there seems to be an grease window which is nearly empty ,here is an oil resevoir beneth the machine which have a lot of oil contained by it .any ideas ? e\whats wrong ,it may not have be used in a long time .

Perhaps one of the cogs are broken. I would purloin it in and have it serviced. I'm not au fait with how industrial machines work. If the oil skylight is almost empty, it may need a complete overhaul. I bear my home sewing machine in at smallest once a year for general maintenance.
I would own it serviced if I were you. There should be like a piece of candle wick dipping into the grease, this is what keeps the machine lubricated. Have you put some grease in. The window should be at tiniest half way showing grease. Something has probably perished if it hasnt been used within a long while.
