Plaster lathe walls?
I have plaster and lathe walls in my 1920's home and I am have a horrible time trying to hang anything. Either the nail breaks or a huge chunk of the plaster comes stale. Does anybody have any ideas excluding picture hangers (don't work) or adhesive products?
Answers:
can you use small plastic ancors and drill a small hole in the wall ?
If you could locate the studs you could use a screw to anchor heavy stuff.
Or you could use molys for hollow walls, or toggle bolts, they work well next to plaster and lath.
Home Depot have special anchors just for picture hanging. I enjoy plaster walls also and they work perfect. They kinda screw into the wall like artifice. Ask a salesperson.
