Where would a self employed small electrical device shop find one or two parts to tool on a non cnc lathe or mill?

Perhaps the best idea is to go around and introduce yourself to owners of other small mission shops and offer to subcontract some of their jobs? They other have parts that they took on as part of bunch deal that they really aren't interested in doing! Also there's other parts that, for whatever reason, inevitability to be re-worked. Also, on military bases, at least on nouns bases I know, they always necessitate onesies - twosies on parts they need a quick turnaround on.
