Looking for a source to purchase parts for an elder model Sears wood lathe?

If this is the lathe with the tube bed, Rigid have a lathe that looks very similar to the old Sears tube lathe. Check that out as a possible source for parts.
good luck , i had indistinguishable problem with mine. its a 1981 12 in. lathe. biggest problem be finding stuff with a no. 1 morse taper. check grizzly, woodworkers supply, etc.
Try searching www.machinetools.com. Post, for FREE, a request for parts, and roll the machine you have, the serial number, and year of trade name, if you know it.
