How unforced is building a micro turbine beside a lathe? are nearby any plans of the schreckling micro turbine FD3/

I am trying to build a micro turbine.I have read about this surrounded by some web sites.I am not having any detailed plans just about construction, except the fact that I know making it is not very knotty.I plan to build the basic schreckling model, but I welcome any better models, provided the detaills are set!

I've built a microturbine compressor for superfluid liquid helium running at 200,000 rpm. It was a cooling pump for Stanford Linear Accelerator superconducting magnets, but logically only the aluminum compressor was exposed to the gooey helium - the turbine was driven by compressed air.

The Schrecking turbine is going to involve a nickel turbine rotor and hot stage components, and nickel can be very problematic to cut and form because it work hardens so well (not impossible, but it is a VERY steep learning curve) - exhaust temperatures are up to 860°C (orange hot).

Every division of a very small aero-engine can be successfully designed purely based on textbook awareness and open literature, with one substantial exception: the combustor. The one dimensional representation used in the design of the turbine flow path can not represent the complex flow within the combustion chamber precise enough to make any predictions. For this component, a comparatively large number of experiments are necessary
to pull off a good performance. A remaining problem is the difficult and expensive prototype commerce, mainly turbine stator and rotor - I'd recommend you purchase these items and see if you can fabricate the rest on a lathe (might be possible!).

A lathe alone will not be enough to complete the engine (at tiniest an engine that will have good performance). You're really going to requirement at least a 4 axis milling machine (5 axis would be even nicer) to electrical device the rotors.

Dynamically balancing the assembly will require accelerometers and strobe lights - you'll need to build a opposite stage; not too hard, but more equipment is needed (or send it out).

There is closely of miniature machine building going on. Here is one site, there are others:

I enjoy seen everything from scale walking strut steam engines to operational V8 automobile engines you could hold in your mitt.

I was looking for this site earlier and finally found it. Check out:
