How do you read the index plate on the moved out side of an engine lathe?

The four levers are identified with
junk mail (A through H) and numbers (1 through 4) that correspond to the feed rate
chart. Near the top of the headstock are two more levers that control the RPM
(speed) of the chuck. By facing up the colored arrow to a color and number the

With 2 mirrors one held at 90 degrees and the other reflecting from it at 36 degree then wright the numbers and letters down consequently reverse them to get the correct number . Source(s): logic
