Hi! i'm a student to become a machinist ,can anyone explain how to cut a double thread on a conventional lathe

Answers:
If I was asked to do this myself I would consult tool catalogue for a carbide insert for this application and consequently just treat it like a single screw cut operation.

There is a puplication call "screw cutting on conventional lathe" by Tubal Cain. Maybe you can do a search for it on the lattice. Its cheap enough and contains a lot of information for a student machinist.

But can i answer your query with a question, why stipulation know this?, I mean its very hidden and does anyone actualy use this type of thread, i have spent a life time surrounded by engineering and i have never even seen one.
