TECHNICAL QUESTION Engineering Lathe.?
Hi, I wonder if there is anyone out there who have any knowledge of the small model GRAYSON Engineers lathe. My model was made probably delayed 40's. Yes, a collectors item but working ok. I am looking for anyone who might have or knows roughly speaking this model or similar lathes. Where I might buy spares if there are any etc. I bought it a couple of months ago and unfortunately it be dropped by the Parcel-Force crew somewhere along the line, so I have be repairing, buying and so on. Spares will be strong to find, although some machinery sales companies trading from the Forties may have some outmoded stock.
The good thing something like the older machine tools, is that 90% can be manufactured for you. Expensive I know. Probably cheaper to buy a used Myford or similar device.
If you can prove that Parcel Farce dropped it then you can claim for repairs/replacement.
