What wood lathe or CNC lathe needed to engender a feature wood bat?

I am looking to make wood bats out of maple and ash, I dont own a lot of money to spend (around 2500) to buy a lathe to make baseball bat. I dont have much experience with them do you hold any recommendations?

delta , jet , grizzly , lots of well brought-up brands out there...anything that will turn a 36 in. piece or longer...pious turning chisels are the key though...
Sorry to say this,but if you do not own a lot of experience with a lathe,you should probably obtain the experience first,this isn't a cheap woodworking tool,and can be quite tricky.Although I applaud your enthusiasm,this is a skill very few master,and you should find someone to guide you the finer points before indulging.
Again,I am in no means of access wanting to discourage you but this can be a major undertaking.
