May I own 3 question on Biology and Machinery?
What is the difference between Extinction and obsolescence?
What is the difference between Evolution and Upgrade?
What is the difference between Mutation and prototype?
Answers:
Your first answerer is correct as far as it goes, if you are doing this for homework of some description I would suggest looking up a defiinition of each word it should consequently be relatively easy to see the similarities and differences of the terms.
For example extinction is when an organism dies out and thus cease to exist. With obsolescence it means that a device (though it can also refer to personnel) is now redundant, another (usually better) alternative is now available and (to put it crudely) everyone uses that instead. It doesn't mean that the unproved no longer exists just that it is now no longer used (or probably manufactured)
to put it simply: they similar and different, they adjectives mean the same entry, but are part of different sciences. although a mutation is something that is not ordinary, while a prototype is something that's being tested.
