I just did a search on Indeed.com, a site that pulls work postings off sites like Monster, CareerBuilder, and Craig's List as in good health as employer Websites.

Searching for "heavy machine operator" (with the quotation marks) and Michigan, get nothing. Very unusual for Indeed. Searching for "heavy equipment operator" (again, WITH the quotation marks) get 2 results in Muskegon and Cheboygan.

Did the "heavy equipment operator" rummage through on the Michigan Talent Bank (from the state of Michigan), and got 14 results.

So, why don't you try those searches yourself, and try those postings. Then, hold checking those sites or set up e-mail alerts for yourself from them.

Job-Hunt.org has over 120 employment resources and employers programmed, including state and local governments and colleges and universities and daily online classifieds.

Also check the local Yellow Pages (online and off) for employer who would need heavy equipment operator, and contact them directly yourself.
