How do I get the better of Metal Slimes (in their multiple forms) formerly they flee on Dragon Quest VIII?
Whenever I fight the Metal Slimes, Liquid Metal Slimes, or Metal King Slimes they almost always flee previously I can kill them. I've only manage to kill a few metal slimes and none of the others.

Step one of pretty much any Metal Slime strategy is having Jess kind Accelerate. If the slime flees the first round, there's really nothing you can do about it, but this will greatly enhance the likelihood of each of your characters going before the enemy on subsequent rounds. Since Jess doesn't really have a good route of damage metal slimes, this is by far the best option for her first turn.
Strategy 1 is to combine the sword special attack Metal Slash next to a Falcon Sword on Hero and Angelo, preferably with support from a Timbrel of Tension on Yangus (and Jess after she does Accelerate). This works fairly ably on the basic Metal Slimes and is passable on the Liquid Metal Slimes, but requires plentifully of luck on Metal King Slimes.
Strategy 2 is to use the Critical-Hit-or-Miss attacks Hero has in Spears and Yangus have in Axes. The reason you take such low damage agaisnt Metal Slimes is because they have obscenely lofty Defense stats. But critical hits completely ignore the Defense stat, so they will kill even the Metal King Slime within a single hit. Both Spears and Axes have one move that has a 25% haphazard of hitting and a move with a 50% chance of hitting. Having both of them use the 50% move Breaks down (assuming the slime doesn't flee in the past both the attacks) to 25% chance of no kills, 50% randomness of 1 kill, and 25% chance of two kill (if there are multiple Metal Slimes). If fighting middle-of-the-road Metal Slimes, Jess doing Twin Dragon Lash and Angelo doing either of Falcon Slash or Metal Slash with a Falcon Sword are your best option (after getting Accelerate up), but against Liquids or Kings, Jess and Angelo won't be able to pump out damage speedily enough to reliably kill them by themselves even if they focus fire on a single one of them.
for metal simes use attacks that strike more than once ie. jessica's twin dragon lash or angelos falcon slash. slimes enjoy 4hp
same goes for liquid metal slimes, the best piece to use for these guys iis to get the falcon blade at baccarat casino and then use falcon slash, the falcon blade automatomatically attacks twice, that`s why using facon slash will strike 4 times. liquid metal slimes have 8 hp
as for king slimes it's best to rely on luck
use attacks that are feasible to get critical hits like executioner or chopper man or lightning thrust. if u dont have any of those just strike as a rule without using abbilities, that way you can catch a critical hit (which does like 200 damage to them).
