On super Mario 64 where on earth is the switch for the green box metal form? its a Nintendo 64 winter sport?

I believe it's in the hazy warren cave.
Go down to where you ride Nessie (that marine dinosaur thing) and go to the far side of the room. There should be a platform to jump onto and a door right near. Go through, and then down another hall to another door. In at hand, there should be a hole that looks just resembling the entrance to the level. Jump in, and you'll be taken to a clandestine area. The water rushes pretty express here, so if you fall in, gt out brisk. Once you can turn metal, it doesn't matter. If you fall adjectives the way out, you'll land within the water outside the castle. The switch should be on a big platform on the other end of hte room. Cross the shrink pathways to get it. I feel there are also red coins down here. (I know they were contained by the DS version, but not sure about the original) Hope that help!
