I enjoy a vacuum plate on a milling gadget to hold down an ally plate to tool items out of the problem is?

that i need to machine thru the job into the vacuum plate which will destroy the plate what can i put in between the 2 items to prevent this

You distinctly cant put anything between the item you are machining and the vacuum plate.
One solution would be to abandon the vacuum plate and mechanically hold down your item next to a piece of worthless packing between it and the table.
If you are mass producing you could make the item thicker than it need be, tool down into it to the right depth then tirn it over and take a slice of the other side.

I find it a bit strange you are asking this on here though. Surely in that is a production engineer at your workplace who can help?
I am an plan but I have limited production experience. There are copious ways to skin a cat, and will be many solutions to your problem. It depends on number being produced

Is nearby not a method of setting a Jig up to hold the item aside from a vacuum plate ? That way the item could be held above the machine bed.
