What's better a tread mill or an egg-shaped gadget? and what's a virtuous brand?

I'm in the market for a tread mill or egg-shaped , but I can only buy one. I read somewhere that the elliptical be better than the tread mill because you burn more calories on the elliptical. I don't know if that's true or not, so I need your oblige in making my decision. Any positive feedback will greatly appreciated.

Either one is angelic! I personally think the Elliptical is better, because you bring back more of a full body workout. Like with the elliptical you work your arms out too. A accurate brand is Life Fitness.
