Which equipment would be better to use?

I muse what you're talking about is the difference between an "adjectives in one" combo amp (amp + speakers in one box) vs a component approach - separate amp and speakers (also particular as the "head and cab").
Having separate head and hackney carriage will always give you more flexibility, value, and more possible volume. The reason that combo amps are used are portability and simplicity.
The reason for this is incredibly simple - mostly has to do with counterbalance and space considerations. My Mesa Boogie Tremoverb head weighs more than 65 lbs purely by its lonesome.... and the 4x12 cab that I played with it (a Marrshall 1960a) be even heavier. How could you even lift something that like that, if it be all in one box?
Now admittedly, not adjectives guitar equipment is solid wood and tube heater/transformer heavy, but the principle remains the same. By splitting up the amplifier and the speakers you allow for a more complex and modular system.
At lowest, I think this is what you're asking. Hope I'm not way stale base.
Caveat: it really depends on the quality of the equipment. Normally a 1x12 purely won't put out a whole lot of sound, not plenty to be heard over a full band at practice level.... then again, I've plugged into a Mesa Boogie 1x12 not much bigger than your average practice amp (although waaaay heavier) that shakes the room at "3".
In general I prefer the head/cab approach because I can other upgrade one of the components at a time. Can't do that with a combo amp, at least not nearly so confidently.
