Selling and shipping used hockey equipment?

I heard about an foundation that can take your used hockey equipment and they ship it to northern Canada, I'm not sure if they actually exist but conceivably you've heard of them.

They have sent full gear to players from many countries.

Oshawa MPP Jerry Ouellette sent 50 sets of hockey gear up north a couple years ago and I believe still runs a project.
