i need a list of some of the tools and equipment vet use
Answers:
In my hospital we use an exam, treatment and surgical table (all different). A stethoscope, trans-illuminator, otoscope, thermometers, and a scale (one small baby clamber for small dogs and cats and a large scale for the big dogs). We also use 12cc curve tip syringes for flushing wounds, 1cc (or ml; they are both one and the same measurement) Tuberculin (TB) Syringes, 1cc, 3cc, 6cc, and 10cc oral syringes as well as 3cc, 6cc, 12cc, 35cc, and 60cc luer lock syringes (meaning the needles twist on for a more safe and sound fit and wont fall or slip off). Butterfly needles and catheters, infusion pumps, serum separator vials, vials with heparin added, no stabilizer vials, a centrifuge, microscope, and micro-hematocrit stat spinner. Suture material (Vicryl and Catgut), suture needles, anesthesia machine next to IsoFlurane, heating pad for surgery patients, and monitoring devices for vitals when merciful is under. X-ray with 3 different size cassette and film, black room for developing and x-ray processor. We also have vaccines and medication to help us treat patients as well. And the best tool that vet have is the help that they hire, next to out the techs and assistants they wouldn't be able to do their job. Source(s): Work at a vet hospital
portable scales (for weigh calves and colts on the farm), scalples, syringes, almost anything found in the operating room at a hospital and most of the same tools a physician uses, singular some are bigger.
