How do you device the speed of a football in need using special equipment?

we want to determine the speed of a football but we really don't want to get all expensive and stuff to catch a odometer for the football. So if you answer it good not messed up i will rank you the best and you will seize 10 points :)

speed is distance divided by time.
so if you measure the distance of how far your football travelled
and get a stopclock. or the timer on your phone. etc.
and time how long it take the football to travel that distance.
and you divide them.
for example if your distance was 100 metres.
and your time was 10 second.
then your speed would be. 100 divided by 10 = 10 metres per second. or MPS
